Innovation, technical skills, and determination are vital for today’s youth to overcome challenges and shape their future, said Dr. Ravi Kumar Vemuru, Advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government and Chairman of APNRT, at the inaugural session of a two‑day National Management Meet held at Acharya Nagarjuna University.
Addressing students, Dr. Vemuru emphasized the importance of combining technical competence with social awareness, urging young people to act responsibly in society.
The event, jointly organized by the Departments of Commerce, Business Administration, and International Business Studies, drew participation from nearly 250 teams representing colleges across India. Competitions such as “Trade Titans” and “Next‑Gen Management” were designed to foster creativity, leadership, and managerial skills among students.
Industrialist Tulasi Ramachandra Prabhu highlighted that industries increasingly seek candidates with practical knowledge and problem‑solving abilities rather than purely theoretical expertise.
University leaders also shared their perspectives:
Vice‑Chancellor Prof. K. Gangadhara Rao noted that such platforms help students showcase talents and build confidence.
Rector Prof. Ramineni Sivarama Prasad encouraged entrepreneurship among youth.
Registrar Prof. G. Simhachalam stressed the importance of practical learning, communication skills, and adaptability.
The meet underscored the growing need for innovation and skill development in higher education, aiming to prepare students for both professional success and social responsibility.
